Aims and tasks:
To improve the level of education of the students and cadets of the Institute.
To broaden the collaboration of the Institute with the local judicial and law enforcing authorities.
- To provide citizens with the with the free legal consultations;
- To provide the students and cadets of the Institute with the possibility to get practical experience on the legal specialization;
- To let the students and cadets learn and use the materials of practice of the judicial and law enforcing authorities;
- To help the students to develop communication skills;
- To help students and cadets to have proper workshops and internships;
- To create an effective mechanism of information exchange of the public, mass media and the legal clinic in order to react effectively on the needs of citizens.
The work of the legal clinic is focused on the next sectors: 1) the consultation sector; 2) the sector of systematization, analysis of current legislation and legal practice; 3) the information-analytic sector.
The legal clinic gives aid in the following branches of law:
- Civil Law
- Consumers protection Law
- Housing Law
- Labor Law
- Public welfare Law
- Family Law
- Administrative Law
- Tax Law
- Hereditary Law
- Criminal Law and process (on general questions
Also the consultants help in drafting the legal documents (statements of claim, complaints, appeals, etc.) and represent citizens’ interests in the state and other authorities. In the cases when the consultations do not require a client’s presence the consultations are given via telephone. Due to the social specialization of the legal clinic the consultations on commercial activity are not given.
The legal clinic works the whole academic year from September 10 till April 30. The consultation in any other period can be conducted only with the permission of the manager of the legal clinic.
The clients are welcome on Monday - Friday from 10.00 till 14.00. Days off: Sunday and Saturday.
